Asahi Honnama Clear Black

Cola brown with a chunky beige head. A sweet scent with a hint of roasted malts and toast. Rather plain, sweet biscuits with a trace of syrup. A bit of spicy hops in the follow. Average at best but still better than most of their canned beer.

Can. Brick red in color with a medium, off-white head. Roasted malts, a little coffee, and chocolate. Thin body with a healthy amount of carbonation. Sweet, malty, roasted, and slight molasses. Solid, but it’s definitly from Asahi.

Can: Pours a dark brown color, fizzy with nearly no head after it has dissipaited. No lacing either. The nose is lightly roasty with a toasted sesame seed note, some light thin malts, no hops. Some coffee, the kind you get in gas stations. The flavor is a touch sweet with a maple and sesame note, again, toasty, but kinda sweet. Thin body, light hops. A decent dark lager, seems a bit mainstream.
