IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Oct 12, 2007 Cola brown with a chunky beige head. A sweet scent with a hint of roasted malts and toast. Rather plain, sweet biscuits with a trace of syrup. A bit of spicy hops in the follow. Average at best but still better than most of their canned beer. Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Oct 10, 2007 Can. Brick red in color with a medium, off-white head. Roasted malts, a little coffee, and chocolate. Thin body with a healthy amount of carbonation. Sweet, malty, roasted, and slight molasses. Solid, but it’s definitly from Asahi. BückDich (4785), McCall, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2007 Can: Pours a dark brown color, fizzy with nearly no head after it has dissipaited. No lacing either. The nose is lightly roasty with a toasted sesame seed note, some light thin malts, no hops. Some coffee, the kind you get in gas stations. The flavor is a touch sweet with a maple and sesame note, again, toasty, but kinda sweet. Thin body, light hops. A decent dark lager, seems a bit mainstream.
