Asahi Kohaku No Toki

(Tap at Vita in Hirosaki, Japan) Barely hazy, almost clear reddish amber-brown color. Suspiciously (chemically) frothy, rapidly dissipating head that left some light lacing on the glass. Very light sweet and metallic aroma. Mild flavors of wheat with hints of caramel and banana, with detectable adjuncts (corn, rice). Heavily (seemingly artificially) carbonated, nearly watery mouthfeel. Way too light and easy to drink for a beer of this style. Not a very good dunkel at all, but this is from a macrobrewery, so the effort is appreciated.
