thehurt01 (201), Denver, Colorado, USA Nov 8, 2009 A 22 oz bottle. the beer poured a clear golden body and a foam white head. The smell is some what sweet and dry. the taste is light and dry..duh. Good carbonation.
12 pack fredthecat (180), Canada Nov 7, 2009 piss yellow with a foamy head that eventually fades away, , smells cornbready in a way, not too strong at all, taste is dry, bitter, a bit off, but weak and ricey. harsh but filling mouthfeel, idk, wont bother with again. rlaw (43), USA Nov 6, 2009 I guess "Asahi" is Japanese for "Budweiser." Bottle. Pours faintly yellow with a small fizzy head. Little aroma, little flavor. Vaguely malty, barely hoppy, a bit skunky. Not offensive, but barely more appealing than water. Your basic macro pale lager. Not drinking this again. TheHulk (106), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Nov 5, 2009 Aroma = shitty draft at the bad bars, smells like beer box cardboard. You could read a book through the glass. There is something that tates like malt and maybe hops, but maybe my mind is playing tricks on me because it says beer on the can, but there might or might not be hops flavours present. Despite the cardbord theme, it is actually quite smooth. I have certainly had worse, but not that many, it’s not too offensive but this reminds me of days of yore when you might want to consider what the beer will be like on the way back out... Cole (266), , Alberta, Canada Nov 5, 2009 Pours pale yellow, white head low retention. Dull corn aroma. Tastes like cardboard, corn and filler. Tastes like any other shitty macro pale lager. Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Oct 31, 2009 Canned, from Japan or Taiwan if I remember correctly, brought to me by FatPhil - thanks matey! Clear, pale yellow, almost no (white) head. Toilectic aroma, but I’ve tried worse. Taste like a tasteless version of some dry canned cider-pop, i.e. dull. Is there seriously corn and rice here?? Weird stuff. The only positive thing I can say are the dots for blind people on top of the can. Spab (236), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 30, 2009 330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear yellow-gold with small white head. Pretty underwhelming aroma of wet grass and vegetal notes. Flavour is almost absent. Unbelievable. Slight metallicness. Light bodied with a dry/sweet finish. Not enough flavour to be overwhelmingly awful - just really bad. BillWyce (90), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2009 Poured a slightly cloudy pale amber with a very foamy head. Very mild aroma-yeasty with a touch of citrus. Palate is light and slightly fizzy. Very mild taste.
Noted some lemon and an aftertaste reminiscent of straw.
