1pt. 6oz bottle. Aroma of corn/rice and macro skunk. Large white foamy head that mostly lasted. Yellow gold hue. Grainy flavor of macro corn/rice and metal. Watery fizzy palate. Brewed by Molson for us gaijin in N. America.

Bottle. High fluffy but lasting white head. Clear golden body. Weak barley malt aroma. Mild and watery with only a little hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

Bottle/draft. Pours a very thin straw color with a white head. No real aroma, no real flavor. I prefer Kirin Lager with sushi.

Pours a nice straw color with a small medium white head. No real aroma to it(Grains?). Slight hop flavor and very crisp. Went well with japanese food though!

Poured a nice straw color. no real detectable aroma. Taste is rather clean and crisp just as the commercial description with no flavor. Basically this is a Japanese version of Bud. It goes well with Japanese food (obviously) but, surprisingly goes well with other food. Has some with steaks I made and it was great. If not for it’s ability to go well with food, I’d probably rate it much lower.

Pours with a smooth head. Very, very light straw color, and lots of carbonation. Theres not too much to the aroma, kind of grassy. The taste is not too complex either, but has hints of rice and hop and super short finish. Tried it with seaweed salad but it was nasty, thank jesus for the Asahi to wash it down with. The palate is very flat, and overall this beer tastes like a Miller Lite, but with a Japanese feel to it. Easy session beer, ok with snacks, and the short finish make it worth the while.

In the 3-neck race between this, Sapporo and Kirin when choosing a beer from the small selection at the sushi bar, I’ve most often selected the Asahi Super Dry. Odd because I think Sapporo Premium is a slightly better beer standalone. Certainly an abrupt finish and a minimal chopped-off aroma here. It does however let me best enjoy the soy sauce and spicy tuna roll without having to take centerstage as the beverage.
