Typical watery Asian lager, but excellent with sushi! I was drinking it like soda! Crisp and refreshing after-taste. It makes you want to drink more.I guess Asian lagers go well with food...Recommended with food.

(12oz bottle. 03/2006). I periodically drink Asahi. It isn’t terrible. Some aromas of riciness and earth on the nose. A fizzy, quick-dissipating white head and, frankly, unappealingly pale, straw yellow appearance. Flavor isn’t overly grainy and is relatively crisp and hoppy -- yes, hoppy. Relatively dry finish. Not terrible.

12 oz bottle: I actually liked the stuff. Pours a very nice golden color with minimal head, and carbonation lacing. The aroma is also minimal, but the taste is bitter, hoppy, dry, crisp, clean, with a bite of flavor. Not complex and not a beer snobs beer, but much much better than the American big boys.

Bottle. Golden pale body with short white head. Some malt flavour and little bitterness. A dry lager with short aftertaste. Quite ordinary, but definitively drinkable.

Both bottle and tap (basically the same). Pours light yellow with a medium head that quickly dissipates. Fairly strong initial floral scent, although that dissipates with the head. Taste is rather nondescript. It actually is quite dry, oddly enough, which makes it lack the off-taste sweetness of many pale lagers. Not particularly exciting, but if you find yourself having to drink a macrobrew from Japan, this is probably the best choice.

Medium-gold appearance with a nice, clean, balanced lager aroma. Flavour is a little watery, leading to a slightly bitter hop finish. Blatantly average.
