maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 27, 2008 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Peterboro BF 2008. BOTF without a doubt. A black stout with no head. The aroma is smoky and slightly roasty with fish oil. The taste is roasty and burnt with good hop bitterness. A fishy slick very good stout.
PJClarke (50), London, Surrey, England Nov 3, 2008 Bottle: Impenetrably dark with a permanent foamy beige head. Dark chocolatey malts and hazlenuts in the aroma. Deep nutty and earthy flavours are most pronounced. Deliciously thick and mouth-coating. Amazingly nutty, lasting finish. All round a very tasty beverage. Dedoulequeen07 (128), london, Greater London, England Oct 27, 2008 rate beer 2008. A lovely oily stout with loads of dark malt and brewed coffee. Not heavily smoked but licks of oak and tar. A decent stout pleasant to drink MrAleman (113), guildford, Surrey, England Sep 14, 2008 Updated: Sep 15, 2008500ml bottle from off-licence. Nice, deep chocolate tasting stout with bitterness and coffee and a dryish finish. Sadly it was too watery and not as good as some Ascot ales. leaparsons (4057), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Sep 14, 2008 Csk, Peterborough Fest 08. Dark brown with a beige foam.
