reakt (855), Greater London, England Dec 19, 2007 Updated: Dec 20, 2007 Bottle from Quaffs. Black and tan as you would expect. Smokey roast malt, bittersweet chocolate, liquorice, berries and coffee with a hoppy note behind. Taste is similar, roasted malt, dusty cocoa, coffee and slightly orangey hops, almost like a malty Terry’s chocolate orange. Body can do with a bit of thickening and this would be on par with almost any stout out there. Big things to come from this brewery, believe...
PJClarke (50), London, Surrey, England Nov 3, 2008 Bottle: Impenetrably dark with a permanent foamy beige head. Dark chocolatey malts and hazlenuts in the aroma. Deep nutty and earthy flavours are most pronounced. Deliciously thick and mouth-coating. Amazingly nutty, lasting finish. All round a very tasty beverage. Dedoulequeen07 (128), london, Greater London, England Oct 27, 2008 rate beer 2008. A lovely oily stout with loads of dark malt and brewed coffee. Not heavily smoked but licks of oak and tar. A decent stout pleasant to drink MrAleman (113), guildford, Surrey, England Sep 14, 2008 Updated: Sep 15, 2008500ml bottle from off-licence. Nice, deep chocolate tasting stout with bitterness and coffee and a dryish finish.
