Cask in the rake. Alround rating: Lots of fruity aromatic hop, but the honey sweet character of the malt needs more bitternes to balance it. A nice enough drink but on of those one’s where one’s enough.

Coppery colored with little yellow head. Nicely hopped aroma with fruits and thin chocolate. Medium bodied. Flavor is similar with dominating hops and lemon, aftertaste dries. Nothing special.

Handpull @ The Wenlock. Pale malts with an appley note and slight tropical fruits in the nose. Taste is much the same, earthy yet sweet and malty with some amarillo hop fruity bitterness in the finish. Slightly thin but tasty none the less.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, 11th July 2009. Amber-coloured ale with small, quickly-diminishing white head. Yeasty nose, then rounded main kick with hoppiness tempered by sweetness on a rather viscous, oily mouthfeel. Hops then take over in a lingering dry, satisfying finish. A pleasant, balanced beer.
