Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Rebel Prince is a traditional Scotch ale created in honour of Bonnie Prince Charlie, the last Stuart to lay claim to the English throne in 1745, after defeating English forces at Prestonpans. Prince Charlie led his troops south to London, reaching Derby before turning back on the advice of his officers. The following spring at Culloden his army suffered a crushing defeat and Prince Charlie became a fugitive in the Highlands before escaping to France. The bold character of The Rebel Prince is echoed in the firm flavour of this Golden Ale.

nutyy/malty aroma, bronze colour with an average and rapidly disipating head, mild malty and woody character, dry hoppy finish, another decent ASDA offering

Bottled. Amber, initialy good head but soon goes, moderate condition. Toffee, caramel and smokey malt in the nose with a hint of cow dung. Malty in the mouth with more traces of lingering woodsmoke. Mouthcoating dry smokey finish.

Nut and toasted malt aroma. Copper hue with a small off white head. Good toasted malt taste with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. A quite complex ale that is most enjoyable and refreshing. No blandness here thank you very much!
