Beth101 (315), West Yorkshire, England Aug 14, 2009 From Asda. Very dark with an airy tan head strong malt aroma with a strong malt flavour a bit sickly. oh6gdx (8801), Vasa, Finland Aug 8, 2009 Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is toffee, some earth, mild caramel, wooden and quite flowery hoppy notes. Flavour is quite the same. Also some nutty and chocolateish notes. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Aug 8, 2009 Bottled (at Chriso, BB 07/2010).
Dark nut brown, steady creamy beige head. Dark wood, some dark malts in the nose. Light coffee, some mentol-fruity hops, roasted. Toasted finish. This is also very Shep Neamish. Not bad, but not the most interesting English-style Porter either. Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England Mar 7, 2009 Updated: Mar 8, 2009God knows how an Asda beer got a 4.But thtat’s what I reckons to this beer,Would never expected to dig this as much as my score ive given.I’m gonna give a proper, more ’indepth’ review or some shit. But I love the roasted profile and bitter chocolate. SaintMatty (1197), Tallinn, Estonia Jan 15, 2009 500ml Bottle - Very dark brown, almost black, with some red tinges. Light roasted malt aroma with some chocolate and coffee. Roasted taste with chocolate and a hint of coffee. Fairly smooth. joe19612 (673), camberley, Surrey, England Jan 11, 2009 Bottle. Real roasted malt aroma, good classic porter colour, malty with a very smooth texture. mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Jan 6, 2009 Deep, dark brown colour with thin creamy head. Some hop citric acidity detectable in the aroma. Flavour has masses of roasted malt and has a hint of coffee in the aftertaste.
