This fine beer may only be bettered by a second. Good head, strong ale but does not compromise the great flavour,

Rich caramel and coffee aroma. Black hue with a small light brown head. Full flavoured porter with roasted malt, toffee and a hint of chocolate. The finish is dry, long lasting and coffee laced. An enjoyable but not over powering ale this is a little thinner than other porters that I have had. However, this is the type of quality you would expect from Shepherd Neame, I was just a little surprised that a shop like Asda has an "own label" Porter. Let the good times roll eh?

Lovely spicy dark full bodied bitter. So close to that perfect northern ale, Icannot believe it’s an ASDA bottle. Well done asda and well done WHitechapel

A strong, hoppy ale, with just enough bite to avoid being considered bland. Similar in flavour to Bath Ales’s ’Barnstormer’, (though alas slightly inferior in my opinion).

Bottle from Asda. Dark ruby colour with thin tan head. Nice dark fruit aromas bit of bitter choc in mouth with black cherry and blackberry. Really nice dark beer, Finish is just a tad short

Deep, dark brown colour with thin creamy head. Some hop citric acidity detectable in the aroma. Flavour has masses of roasted malt and has a hint of coffee in the aftertaste.
