| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2003 Rich caramel and coffee aroma. Black hue with a small light brown head. Full flavoured porter with roasted malt, toffee and a hint of chocolate. The finish is dry, long lasting and coffee laced. An enjoyable but not over powering ale this is a little thinner than other porters that I have had. However, this is the type of quality you would expect from Shepherd Neame, I was just a little surprised that a shop like Asda has an "own label" Porter. Let the good times roll eh? shoestring (187), larkhall, Scotland

Similar in flavour to Bath Ales’s ’Barnstormer’, (though alas slightly inferior in my opinion). harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England
