On tap @ Asheville Pizza. Lighter copper color. Creamy head. There was a problem with the lines which made this look like a nitro pour. This actually added to the character of this beer. Aroma has a bit of butter. Flavor is a light toasted malt. Sweet malt. Wooded hop. Sessionable. Tastes smooth and creamy.

WBF. Pours a dark amber with a onef inger offwhite head. The nose is shows some citrus rind bitterness, sweet caramel malt, mild leafy character. Flavor is sweet, mild bitterness, caramel, well balanced malt to hop ratio. Palate is a tad bitter with a residual sweetness.

On tap at the brewery whilst waiting for our to-go pizza - turns out they don’t deliver to Knoxville. Dark caramel colored, with a thin tan head. Nutty, ever-so-slightly smokey aroma. Earthy malt flavors up front, with some caramel notes. Mildly bitter finish.

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Hazy amber with a small, white head. Decent lacing. Aroma: Caramel notes, lightly roasted malt, and a little grain. Taste: Caramel, a little bit of earthiness, a touch of nuttiness, light hop backbone, some toasted notes. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Medium, malty finish. Overall: Pretty ho hum in the wide world of amber ales. Rebuy: Probably not. Just not that inticing.
