| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2007 On tap at a brewfest, pours a hazy golden, decent white head. Taste is nothing to write home about, pretty much what you’d expect in a pale ale. They were polling the tasters as to whether or not is was "spicy". I can assure you that it was not, despite the dead-heat between yes and no that they had tallied. Good beer, not excellent beer. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2007 Draft at APBC. My favorite of all the beers sampled here. Hazy copper with tall white head. Evenly balanced aroma of sour fruity hops and grainy malts, soft and alluring. Flavor is the same. The palate is about perfect for an APA, or any style for that matter. Very smooth and mellow finish, crisp and fresh in all aspects. Well done. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Fruity and grainy malt aroma with a grapefruity hoppy note. Flavor is similar, but the malt is dominant. Crisp finish. NachlamSie (1652), Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2006 draught. Semi hazy copper pour with a white head. There’s a small grapefruity aroma. It goes down crisp with earthy tones and a zesty pine-like finish. Not too sweet, all in all. Nice. Fish (439), Kure, Japan
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2006 This is another Asheville PIzza Company Classic, it’s been on tap there forever, like the Shiva. Pours a cloudy deep orange color with the remnants of a very happy sparkly head on top and lacing that clings to the glass afterwards such that you can really see the sips. Great hops dominate the flavor, citrusy like any good American Pale ought to be. Lovely palate, medium to full body. The bitterness of the hops lingers with just the slightest metallic edge. This best thing about Asheville PIzza Co. is the consistently good hops. When I went in the other night there were four different house pale ales on tap. APC is definitely the best place in town for consistent micro-hoppy-goodness.
