Dark amber in color with a malty sweet aroma. The balance is amazing to this one- not too heavily bittered, but a good sweetness that makes this a mild and easy drink. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA

Evenly balanced aroma of sour fruity hops and grainy malts, soft and alluring. Flavor is the same. The palate is about perfect for an APA, or any style for that matter. Very smooth and mellow finish, crisp and fresh in all aspects. Well done. unclemattie (2432), Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2004 Hazy copper, with decent sized sloppy white head. piney, slightly vegetable hop aroma. Very peppery, woodsy flavors up front, then a nice smoky, earthy malt background. Nice, well made session brew. Sampled at Asheville Brewgrass Festival 2004. Fish (439), Kure, Japan
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2006 This is another Asheville PIzza Company Classic, it’s been on tap there forever, like the Shiva. Pours a cloudy deep orange color with the remnants of a very happy sparkly head on top and lacing that clings to the glass afterwards such that you can really see the sips. Great hops dominate the flavor, citrusy like any good American Pale ought to be. Lovely palate, medium to full body. The bitterness of the hops lingers with just the slightest metallic edge. This best thing about Asheville PIzza Co. is the consistently good hops. When I went in the other night there were four different house pale ales on tap. APC is definitely the best place in town for consistent micro-hoppy-goodness.
