thechandler (214), West Virginia, USA Feb 23, 2008 Clear gloden, hoppy aroma. Flavor is bitter, and not in the good, hoppy way. Not too thrilled about this brew, honestly.
DragonStout (1225), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 30, 2007 Sampled at ABC.Pours a translucent gold color. Malts and cereal on the nose.Mouth feel was medium. A small hop presence with malts. The finish was hoppy. nearbeer (1386), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2007 Slightly cloudy, with a pilsner to golden ale color! The barkeep confirmed this was the Marzen and not something else when I asked. Nice creamy head that leaves a good lace. Malty sweet, toated nut and molasses aroma. Flavor folllows aroma but has some nice understated hops to provide a slight bitter nut ending. Light bodied and smooth, almost creamy texture. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 09/22/2006
cloud light yellow, frothy white head, touch of lace, light cold aroma that eventually picks up a touch of dry carmel malt and earthy hops, well balanced dry malt flavor with some nice earthy hops, upon warming some good dry carmel malt comes out to blend with the hops, a touch of sweetness tries to show up every now and then but never makes it through
