Deeper in color with a stronger maltiness and what seems to be a more complimentary hop profile. Has more upfront fruitiness, but has a bitter bite in the finish. Decent, but needs food. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a decent off-white head.
Smell: A middling caramel maltiness to the aroma, but it has a decent aromatic bite of floral, piney hops.
Taste: Caramel malt flavor with reserved sweetness upfront soon gives way to a lasting floral, piney hop character and a sensible level of bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: An upright IPA. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2007 On tap at APBC. A slightly hazed deep amber pour. An aroma of light hops a bit of sweet malt. The flavor follows suit with a good bitter. A slight sourness kept me from rating it a bit higher. A decent palate just a tad thin but carbonation was good. A decent offering as well. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2007 On tap at APBC. Pours hazy amber with a medium thick head . Excellent balance of hoppy bitterness with the slight maltiness. Slightly grainy but with a lasting hoppy kick in the finish. This is one of my favorite brews and in my opinion the best brew Asheville Pizza has to offer..
