| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2008 I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. Light and crisp, with a nice snappy hop bite. Nothing fancy, but a pretty good session beer. Sampled at 2008 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Earlier Rating: 4/28/2008 Total Score: 2.8 Yellow, white head. My review was trying to dance around the fact that it’s actually, well, bland. There, I said it. AB&P makes a lot of great, interesting beers, but this isn’t one of ’em. Sampled at the Raleigh WBF. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Brewer’s Jam. Pours golden with a white head. Wow. I was really surprised to find distinct American hop character in the aroma. It’s not overwhelming by any stretch of the imagination, but a definite profile of lemon, grass, grapefruit, and herbal stank is present. The mouthfeel is quite light which compliments the zesty citrusy flavor. Hints of lemon, wood, and grapefruit are noted along with the crisp body. I was really impressed with this offering. Asheville Brewing claims this is a lager, though I couldn’t personally identify it as such. This is underrated. ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

The aroma is light lemon and straw with some doughiness. The flavor is much lemon zest, raw wheat, Tang, and a pancake-like maltiness. Nothing to rave about, but decent. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 11, 2008 Draught at the WBF in Raleigh. Typical golden yellow beer. Nothing special in hops, malt, aroma, or flavor. Marketed as a "summer beer," it doesn’t seem to have that wheaty flavor that most summer beers have. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2008 poured a pale clear gold with mild white head. slight initial malt aroma that was quickly unnoticable after the first sip. is very light and subtle, but a very easy sessionable grab and goes down fast and easy, good if you are distracted to consider too much about the taste of your beer, it is not bad, just light and sessionable and it serves its pourpose well.
