dark amber, frothy beige head, good lace, good sweet carmel malt aroma with nice hops to balance, low bitterness leading to a nice finish, bigger carmel sweetness than the typical esb but it makes for a great drinking beer<br />

jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 2, 2007 on tap-pours a light tan head and amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt. Taste is medium malt, caramel/slight chocolate, secondary hops bite. Mild carbonation. beerguy101 (3544), Newark, California, USA Jun 3, 2008 This ESB pours a medium copper color from the tap at the brewpub. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is bready and malty, touch of hops. A medium bodied ESB. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral, but kind of subdued. Could use a little more bitterness. Nice carbonation. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Sledge Jr (2721), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jan 2, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Dark gold beer in color. Has a very substantial head with good staying power. Nice lacing in the glass. Very tangy flavor with the flavors of grapefruit and gypsum. Good, but not great. GeneralGao (2628), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jun 30, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with thin off white head. Soft malty caramel aroma and flavor. Maybe a touch of toffee too. Pretty solid.
