| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 3, 2008 This Scottish Ale pours a medium amber color from the tap at the brewpub. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is mild malts with some breadiness. A light bodied Scottish Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet, touch of smoke. The hops are earthy. It a really light bodied Scottish ale, but I guess it was brewed that way. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clearish, medium brown body with a small, white head.
Smell: Light aroma of malty caramel, though not much else. Can’t a hint of caramel be enough for once? I say yes.
Taste: Soft flavor of toasted caramel with a very mild measure of sweetness. A fine dose of woody, spicy hops lasts into the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A satisfactory Scottish ale, and a nice way to kick-off the evening. dkachur (2372), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
