| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Slightly cloudy dark yellow. Citrus lemon and floral aroma. Hop profile is not my favorite but is lemon citrus up front with a bit of green apple and the finish is a stinging pine that is a tad off. Need less bittering agents here and some more malt to cut it a bit or even a little bit more sweetness. As it is it is a tad sweet with a tinge of caramel malt mid palate but this needs to be amped up a bit. curly (759), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Mild citrus aroma, pine, orange. Taste is decent, pine and orange again but needs more bold hops. Empty bitterness on the finish. dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2009 22 oz Bottle. Slightly hazy amber, with a hop aroma that’s evident from across the table. Modest white head that quickly fades. Very sweet and heavy. The hop bite is a bit flat and comes on late. Not as crisp as a western US IPA. More akin to a British IPA or even a bitter. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Too much of a sweet malt aroma, and not enough hop. Has a nice look to it. Nice thin head around the edge. Nice light orange with a slight brown hue. A really funky malt aroma in fact. Shit, I am 0/2 tonight. This sucks. Blah. A very bad malt aroma with a slight bittering hop. Alright, this IPA is not great at all. The palate is not bad, and the bittering hop is just there to please, I guess. A very soapy like taste. I just don’t think this IPA is great at all. The bittering hop is odd in that it is overly bitter when it doesn’t have an aroma hop, or flavoring hop. Bad IPA. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 14, 2009 A murky orange appearance with a small fading white head. The aroma contains citrus as expected with some oranges and lemons. The malty aspect of the aroma really takes over with sweet potatoes, caramel, and brown sugar. Also a hint of a pill bottle. The flavor is slightly bitter with some lemons and oranges showing. I also taste some caramel and brown sugar. A heavy herbal presence in this one. The palate is rather thin. Overall not bad but quite off the wall for an IPA. Its ok anyway. dkachur (2427), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a pale orange color with a large head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of strong citrus hops. Taste is bitter hops.... citrus and slightly earthy. Medium bodied. BanjoDude (29), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Golden color with small white head with good lacing. The aroma was lacking in what I expect from an IPA. The flavor could have been more hoppy, but was pretty darn good. It has a medium body that is very refreshing. I recommend, but there are better IPAs.
