Sampled on draught at the Capitol City Carnival 2007. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden to orange color, with a soapy, white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is fragrant with good piney and citus hops, with some sweet malty aroma as well. The palate is slick and a touch buttery, with flavors of pale and caramel, malt, and a touch of toffee. This beer finishes with more good sweet and caramel malt flavors, then ends with some nice piney and citrus hop bitteness, that slightly lingers. All and all a good example of AIPA. Nice hop aromas, good malt flavor, and good hop bitterness. I enjoyed this one, and think I would like this one on draught at the brewpub with a nice slice of pizza.

Draft sample at Knoxville Brew Jam. Poured a hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

On tap at APBC. Slightly hazy orangish-yellow with a soapy white head. Vaguely sweet hop aroma with some floral notes, although not very strong. Light palate. Taste pretty bland for an IPA - little hop character to start, some astringency on the back end.

On tap at APBC. A hazed ornag pour with a foamy, clinging lasting head and lace. A sweet malty aroma kinda like your stored grapefruit rinds in your malt bin. A flavor that is semi sweet and bitter at the same time the bitter out lasts the sweet by a mile. I had an almost apple fruitiness from it as well. Just a tad foamy for me not thin but not full bodied either. Solid all rond beer I really like the lasting bitter.

Cloudy copper with a nice lasting head and lace. Aroma of nutty malt. Flavor is toasted nut, followed by a sour fruit twang and a peppery, bitter-herby hop finish. Creamy smooth and light-medium bodied with some tingle from the peppery hops.
