TheBeerLover (1013), DC Metro Area, USA Oct 21, 2007 Sampled on draught at the Capitol City Carnival 2007. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden to orange color, with a soapy, white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is fragrant with good piney and citus hops, with some sweet malty aroma as well. The palate is slick and a touch buttery, with flavors of pale and caramel, malt, and a touch of toffee. This beer finishes with more good sweet and caramel malt flavors, then ends with some nice piney and citrus hop bitteness, that slightly lingers. All and all a good example of AIPA. Nice hop aromas, good malt flavor, and good hop bitterness. I enjoyed this one, and think I would like this one on draught at the brewpub with a nice slice of pizza.
