Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma had pine and citrus hops, earthy, and grass. The flavor opened with some bitterness that faded and finished on a sweeter note. Citrus, bready and caramel malts, grassy but a little light. This was just OK.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Tap at Merrimon. Really good stuff. Nice hazy orange color with lots of lacing on the glass throughout the drink. So, I assume it would have a nice foamy head. There was a base of malts, but hops come to forefront and stays there. The taste was all hops and citrus and the aroma double that. michael-pollack (2685), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Full of tiny, and a few large, particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium to heavily bitter and slightly sweet. Tastes of hops, pine, light resin, slight tropical fruit, and a hint of caramel malt. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop, light resin, and slight caramel malt finish is slightly sweet. DJMonarch (6845), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Golden color, white head. Hoppy aroma, hint of citrus. Flavor is a rich pale malt. Finishes with a bold resin. Nicely hopped. Bitterness. Smooth. This beer is what Iook for in an IPA.

Appearance: Pale orange with a foamy, white head. This one left great lacing.
Aroma: Lots of pine hops and light citrus notes, particularly grapefruit. Low malt profile.
Taste: Grapefruit and citrus bitterness, a litte bread, citrus pith, and light caramel notes.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Long, bitter finish.
Overall: A little light in body, but still pretty decent overall.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 26, 2009 1 pint, 6 oz. bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Pours clear gold with big, frothy white head that laces the glass. Aroma of hops, grain, citrus, yeast, malt. Flavor of hops, citrus, grains, malt, and also some chemical taste that threw me off. Bitter, with a light body. Quick, dry finish. I think this is a better beer than what I experienced but I blame myself for hanging onto it too long and letting it pass its prime. I’m guessing I would like this better with a fresher bottle.
