Cask, The Crown, Nuneaton. Pale, heaped and lacy. Aggressive balanced hop cocktail aroma of soft wine gummy lemon and lime, resinous grapefruit, pine, chlorophyll, slight urinal. Flavour follows on with more pungent orange greenery, great sweaty resins, excusable mealy Wotsit softness, vanilla, maize, husky pale malt creaminess, maybe oats. Lean, punchy and alpha-driven like Atomic. No frills aromatic citrus and biting green resins, but not at the expense of the malt. Beautiful, unexpected hop-drenched sessions, fresh on and £1.50 a pint. Hangover here we come...

Cask conditioned at The Cross Keys, Belper, 17-01-08 Very Pale golden in colour with a tiny bit of haze. The nose on this one was a little more sulphourus than it’s stablemate Poets Tipple which I had first, but there was also some light fruitiness on the nose and then in the mouth. Lovely bitterness, great session beer, really impressed with both of these beers.

Cask conditioned (from the cellar) at The old Poets Corner, Ashover, Derbys. Pale yellow gold with white head. Thin and dry pale ale, quite lightly hopped which leaves it a touch short on flavour, but decent enough. A touch of egg on the nose.

Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Clear golden. Aroma of vegetables and honey. Sweet and a bit sticky with rounded mouthfeel. Some more honey before a short salty bitterness sets in. A quickly forgotten beer that won no place in my heart.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Leicester BF. A very pale, straw coloured beer. The aroma is a abit phenolic and there are sulphur notes also. The taste has a touch of diacetyl and a touch of fart. Some citrus notes, but disappointing.
