Not a very stout stout. But I don’t really think that is point with this beer. It just tastes good. The vanilla is present, but not too strong. It does show up in the aroma and the after taste. If you are looking for a stout, this isn’t it. But, if you are looking for a smooth and interesting brew, this could be it. (re-rate 6/18/2002) After a while, this stuff is just hard to drink.

A vanilla cream ale of some sort, just not a stout. Tastes like cream soda with light malt background. Aroma of vanilla and almonds. No flavors of roasted barley. Brown color with minimal head.

I think I rated the wrong beer or something. This one is special. Go and get it. Smooth and tasty like a good vanilla creme soda from Trader Joes.

VERY pale for a stout; thin to non-existent head; Vanilla and musk in the nose. Annoying vanilla flavors mixed with cream. Thin-ass palate. Sucks.

The name sounds amazingly tantalizing, but the beer just doesn’t quite seem to live up to it imo. It’s still a really good stout porter style beer, just not quite as much flavor and aroma as the name suggests. Very nice thick creamy stout, though.

Tastes similar to Cream soda. Good Stout.
