A rich and luxurious ale with a subtle chocolate aroma, which with the mix of the crystal malts and fuggle hops creates a full flavoured, smooth dark ale.

For some reason I didn't think that I would like this but I was pleasantly surprised. Chocolate dominates but not to a point were it is overpowering.Pleasant to drink and just proves that you shouldn't decide on the quality of a beer before sampling it.I did and I was wrong.

Bottled. Black-brown with hints of red. Moderate head and condition. Low chocolate powder aromas, thin bodied and weak with some chocolate notes and a finish that becomes slightly metallic. Needs more alcohol.

Most impressive is the chocolate finish. Not as moreish as Youngs Double Chocolate Stout.
