Commercial Description:
Stone Brewing is century old brewing technique revived to create this distinctive and flavorful light bodied beer. Intensely heated Irish stone (700 deg.) are gently lowered into the boiling brew kettle, super heating (for lighter body) the wort and caramelizing some natural malt sugars (for full flavor).

Kind of plain, like it had been sitting in a wood cask. A slight bit of apple, with a off balance taste, extremely malty finish.

I’m really surprised that this beer is getting such high ratings. The brewing process sounds kind of interesting, but quite frankly the beer just tasted like wood. Take one of those unpainted pencils and chew on it for a while and you’ll get the flavor. I’m not sure why it tastes like wood, but the beer doesn’t seem bad since I had it on tap at the brewery. It wasn’t really a bad beer, but it had an unusual flavor. The beer’s a little darker than a typical light beer.

This is a GREAT light beer. It tastes nothing like a light beer. Even the Amstel Light does not compare to this. THIS tastes like a true microbrew. You wont even know it is a light.

This is the absolute BEST light beer that I have ever tasted. I would love to give it top marks, but, after all, it is a light. It is better than many non-light beers that I have tasted. This beer has flavor people! (and 98 calories to boot!)
