Thin rings of lacing circle the glass. The aroma shows sweet blueberry pancakes, light caramel malts, and mild floral hops. The flavor is sweet and, for the most part, artificial tasting. Feels like an American Pale with blueberry syrup dumped in. Still, its not as bad as many fruit beers I’ve tried in that the syrupy taste is light enough to remain refreshing. The hop character is light, though sufficiently spicy and peppery on the finish to add an element of intrigue. Medium bodied. Pretty smooth. Not terrible, but far from great. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA

Poured reddish/brown with a small head. Hits the mouth with a blueberry note, not overly heavy, with medium body, carries through to the finish. Very enjoyable. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2007 As soon as you open the bottle, you can smell the blueberries. It pours with a medium, short-lived bubbly head, and has a lot of lively carbonation inside a beautiful golden-amber/crimson body. The aroma is of (you guessed it) blueberries. But it also has notes of toffee, butterscotch and caramel. and is full of other complexities you wouldn’t expect from a fruit beer. The taste is full of fresh fruit, malt, and a bit of bitterness, and overall has a great mouthfeel about it. As the beer warms, the blueberry flavors become more apparent. The thing I like most about this ale is that it is a great fruit beer, it doesn’t taste artificial or overpowering like some, and it still manages to be a great ale with plenty of depth at the same time. Although fruit beers are really directed toward summer drinking, I drank this one on the first cold day of fall, and I must say that it was very fitting. The crisp, fresh flavors matched the cold autumn air. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Pours a clear ruby brown with minimal head. Nose is very faint with berries...but I am not sure if I am getting blueberries at all. I do get a slight metallic edge. Flavor is hoppy with a metallic tone and not really much berry action going on. Is more sugary and syrupy than anything. But no real blueberry stuff going on. Feel is a bit thick with typical carbonation. As a blueberry brew, I have to say this is not drinkable. Where is the blueberry?
