Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Had a nice blueberry smell, which was not overpowering. Lacked great flavor overall but the blueberry gave it a nice touch and it was very refreshing and quite sweet. A beer I’ll be getting again if I ever make it back to Bar Harbor.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Lacking flavor; had flaws. Might have been a bad bottle.

12 oz. bottle from Fries Cafe in Cincinnati. Pours clear amber with minimal head. Strong, pleasant aroma of blueberries and wheat. Blueberries are stronger in the nose than in the flavor, which was nice but somewhat bland. Wheat and malt, slightly tart. Light, and a smooth finish. Nice summer beer and better than other blueberry beers I’ve tried.

Light amber pour, little head, aroma is overripe blueberries and telltale wheat notes. flavor is actually pretty nice, blueberries, a bit of tartness, one of the better mouthfeels ive experienced in a fruit beer, the wheat adds to this. Finish is sweet and lasting. Pretty good, although not really my style.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange copper with a small creamy off white head that diminishes rather quickly leaving behind decent spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong blueberry and wheat. Medium mouthfeel with a fruity malt taste with blueberry and a nice sweet finish. Blueberry does not overpower and linger like most blueberry beers. Easy to drink, a good fruit beer from Atlantic Brewing.

Amber color. 1" head. Pungent blueberry aroma. "Did someone just club me with a 20 pound blueberry?" Must have knocked me silly, b/c I couldn’t taste much at all after the aroma. Somewhat empty citrus flavoring, a little tart. 1-note wonder that abandons all other facets of a good beer as most fruity beers do.

Light-hazed copper body with copious carbonation under a fizzy, cream-colored head. Blueberry and wheat aroma strikes me as a blueberry Eggo waffle, with a mild bit of tart citrus behind. Flavor finds a mild cloy... blueberry syrup on pancakes, only thinner. A sour finish lingers. I was half tempted to ask, "Well... what do you want from a fruit beer?", until I answered my own question with, "Well... I want something drinkable." Drain-poured about 1/3 of the bottle. ~~~~~~~~~ Bottle of unknown origin.
