Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Happy Day after St. Patty’s Day! Had this on tap at the Smokehouse, another one of their guest tap offerings. It was my second brew of St. Patty’s Day. Subtle, fresh, and light nose of wheat lemon & oddly enough - blueberry. This brew is medium ruby with amber highlights. The light wispy white head is mostly diminishing with light lace. The flavor is very acidic with a sweetness that extends to the middle. The finish is both bready and nutty. The light and lively palate is highly astringent.

I may be a little biased on this one because I really enjoy blueberries and this beer combines to of my favorite flavors. If I could describe it would be a blueberry flavored pilsner. Very clean, fizzy mouth feel. If anything it may be a little too carbonated.

Draught. Was a clear orange color with a decent white head that bubbled off quickly. Aroma was mostly of fresh blueberries with some citrus and sweet frutis as well. Flavor of blueberry and light citrus, ratrher sweet but still drinkable. Ends a little bitter. Has a crisp and refreshing mouth. Pretty decent.

Bottle. A clear orange pour with an average-sized fizzy light-tan head. Crisp aroma that features some blueberries, lemons and sweet malts. Thin-bodied and crisp. A sweet malty body with a good bit of blueberry flavor. A very subtle bitter finish. Hints of lemon and wheat throughout. Tasty, but I think more than a couple would just get too sickeningly sweet. Not quite as good as I remember. Easy-drinking.

Bottle - From Chevy Chase Wine and Spirits - Clear sparkling amber, thin white fizzy head. Very fresh blueberry nose with touches of lemon and grass. Sweet juicy wild blueberry flavors throughout with soft notes of lemon, wheat, and earth. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, fruity, semi-sweet finish. Perfect summer time quencher...

Pours an off-white five-finger head that fades quickly to a ring and leaves some lace. Cloudy amber color, medium bodied and light-medium carbonation. Nose is strong blueberry. Starts with good blueberry flavor that stays, with a mix of hops at the finish. $1.33 for a 12 oz bottle from the brewery in Bar Harbor, Me.

This is a nice light beer. Its got a blueberyy flavor but it is not strong. Can smell the blueberries. Not much past that. Pours with a little bit of head and an amber color. The beer is clear, can see right through to the other side.
