I dont like blueberries, but if you do this is the beer for you. Smells and tastes like a blueberry pancake. Looks perfect, much like the rest of the beers made at Atlantic. But I’d prefer to steer clear of fruit beers that are this heavily flavored. Just a bit too much i think. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a caramel color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is strong with real blueberry scent. The flavor is strong with real blueberry notes and a moderate underlying malt presence. The beer gives you a real nice fruit flavor while avoiding being too sweet. There is a light brown sugar flavor in the finish. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2005 Pours a deep reddish-copper with a 1/2 inch light tan head. Dissipates quickly that head does. Smell is a very aromatic blueberry, both sweet and sour. Overpowering and can’t make out much more.
Taste is nice crisp malt. Some strident bitterness, both from hops and blueberries. Lightly sour with a crispy bitter finish. Mouth is crisp but strangely lightly creamy as well. Very tasty and drinkable brew.
I don’t like fruit beer save a fruit lambic here and there but this beer has always had my respect. They did it right. This beer has the essence of real blueberries vs. blueberry syrup. Therefore it is not as sticky sweet and has alot more fruity complexity. And the malt is not some weak wheat malt, it is substantial enough to lend some balance to the fruit. Well done and the only fruit beer I would ever recommend to anyone.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2005 Pours murky amber with a short head that dissipates to a film. Aroma is you guessed it.. Blueberries! I guess I didn’t know what to expect on this one. I’m not a large fan of fruit beers so I expected the worst. I was pleasantly surprised however. The flavor is very well blended. Blueberry taste abounds but blends very nicely with the malt background. On the palate it seems quite carbonated but feels good in the mouth like eating blueberry pie. Somewhat dry and sweet on the finish. Overall a very nice fruit beer. I actually could see drinking this one again through the summer if I can find it. Someone sure likes it because the 6 packs fly off the shelves here. Tmoney99 (4791), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

No question that it is blueberry. Hue, aroma and flavor was good balance of fruit. Sweet finish. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2005 Blueberries! I really didn’t think this was going to be any good, but I was quite surprised at how well integrated the fruits are in this beer. Foamy mouthfeel and slightly acidic with a dry finish. Blueberry flavor throughout. Thankfully not cloyingly sweet, just fruity. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
