Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

I thought this was a good beer, but not a session beer for me. It was better on tap then out of the bottle. it wasnt the best blueberry beer that i have tasted. enjoyable but again, not m favorite in the genre.

12oz bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured medium amber, a bit hazy, topped with an off-white head. Aroma of blueberry, malt, wheat, and perfume. Wheat and floral perfume flavor, with some blueberry, white pepper, earth and malt. Finish is somewhat astringent.

It was like breakfast in a bottle. Yum, but don’t over due it or you’ll look like that girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

22oz bottle picked up from some random gas station in Gray Maine. Light brown in color, good head. Aroma is blueberries (duh) but kind of perfumey as well. Taste is bitter blueberries, but in a good way. More of an IPA plus blueberries. Unique touch by the brewers. Light in texture and easy to drink. Good beer.

This is strangely reminiscent of Booberry breakfast cereal. This unlike lots of other fruit beers does not have that artifical fruit extract taste, nor is it overly syrupy. A light, refreshing summertime quaffer.

Bottle: Strong blueberry aroma. Wheat taste no blueberry taste or aftertaste. An enjoyable summertime beer.

Bottle poured into English pint glass. Sort of coppery in color with a decent head. Aroma was definitely blueberry with some grain behind it. Taste was somewhat mild, mostly blueberry with what felt like a very slight hop spiciness at the back (like another reviewer, didn’t actually taste any hops). Not overly fruity...not overly anything really. A decent beer, esp. for summertime.
