Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Light amber to yellow pour with a small head. Aroma of faint berries and wheat. Taste is a little metallic with more subtle blueberries than I expected.

Bottle: Copper pour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, fresh, sweet and tart of the blueberries. Taste is mild and berrylike. Viney and floral. Light malts and some bitters. Thanks BuckeyeBoy.

Bottle: Pours an amber caramel color with light off-white head. The nose is ripe initially with blueberry, like the dried ones you find in pancake mix. The flavor is lightly fruity and has more pronounced bitter hop note that covers up any sweetness you might interpret from the fruity nose. This somewhat ruins the fruity experience, but it was nice to smell initially. Oh well.

Pours a translucent copper amber with a one finger fizzy yellowish head. Gone in a flash. Smells like wet dog, I guess thats the attempt at blueberry, lightly grassy, mildly sweet, . The flavor is crisp, a light grassy bitterness, mild blueberry, not very sweet, a little corn flavor. Flavor is better than aroma. Not terrible to drink, a little crisp. Doable.

12 oz bottle...pours amber w/ a quickly diminishing off-white head. The aromas are mix of herbs, blueberries, caramel malts. The flavors are a refreshing blend of blueberries, some earthiness, malt, light caramel, and slight citrus. The palate is fizzy, somewhat dry, and light bodied. Very refreshing, and just a nice sipping brew. This was a pleasant surprise.

In my opinion this is the best blueberry out there. You don’t want to have more than a few but that is how it is with blueberry beers. The aroma is great and natural as is the taste.

Bottle, Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a nice clear amber with off-white head, minimal retention. Aroma of dominate blueberry with faint caramel. Flavor is of obvious blueberry with slightly sweet malt. Mouth feel is light-medium with high carbonation. Overall, it is a nice refreshing summer beer.....
