Perm (140), Tryon, North Carolina, USA Apr 28, 2008 From old notes.
Bottle, May 2005.
Granted, I was on my honeymoon, so everything tasted great. Brought a bottle back from Maine to savor later, and had the same experience again, so it must have been quality.
Marked as the best blueberry ale I’ve had. Not too over-the-top fruity, not too sweet. Very well balanced, with a wheaty twist.
wheelz843 (29), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 1, 2008 bottle. had a very distinct blueberry aroma. not something i would drink everyday, but a nice refreshing change of pace. borgination (78), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Sep 28, 2008 A definite blueberry aroma to this one. Copper colored with a moderate head. The flavor is somewhat sweet/sour with a rather mild blueberry presence. This a well balance thirst quencher if little else. Not bad. BelgianBeerGal (974), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 26, 2008 Bottle and draft in Bar Harbor. Very well done fruit beer. The aroma was very heavy on blueberries but the flavour focused on beer more than fruit. What a concept! Really refreshing. Guys, it it okay to drink it. kimcgolf (665), Dacula, Georgia, USA Sep 21, 2008 POurs to a light golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma is not real strong, but is a pleasant blueberry fruity scent. Mouthfeel is relatively thin and slightly carbonated. The flavor was a bit disappointing, as it tasted more like artificial flavoring than true blueberry. All and all, an okay summer cooler, but one better left to the ladies. Bockyhorsey (2020), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 11, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of mother in law. Light blueberry aroma with some sweet malts. Orange body with decent head. Not enough fruit mild blueberry flavor with thick malt and bitterness. Need more fruit and not easy drinkable brew.
