Commercial Description:
A good, clean nutbrown ale with a malty body. This is our most popular ale due to its smooth and malty flavor. We use a mixture of pale, crystal and black malts in this one, and our primary hop is Target, though we also add some Whitbread Goldings Variation as well. The Real Ale is best fresh, so fresh in fact, that it's great right out of the bright tank.

POurs mid brown with notes of malt on the nose. You get creamy notes with a bit of cocoa. The hops give a light bitter note and the malt a toasted nut flavor. I nice smooth finish.

Pours a dark brown colour with a medium fizzy tan head. Aroma of sweet malts and light cherry. Initial taste is creamy, cherry, light chocolate and dark malts. Finishing with nice bitter hops on the finish. Medium body and nice head retention. Not very complex but an enjoyable and drinkable brew.

12oz bottle. Dark reddish brown. Short, fizzy tan head. Nice English pale malt aroma. Flavors of caramel, toffee, lightly roasted malts. Lingering roasty flavors left on the palate. Classic English Ale.

Pours a deeper amber brown with a smaller bubbly tan head. Aroma of nuts, toast, caramel and some milk chocolate. Flavor of lightly toasted malts, some caramel, hints of chocolate and a touch of coffee with lots of cream.

On tap at the brewery, the color is dark amber with a beige head. The taste is of malt with a sour bitter effect. The aroma is also of malt but with a sweeter caramel smell. There is noting special in this beer just your typical brown ale.

Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville, TN. Pours a beautiful deep copper amber with a nicely retentive off white head. Aroma of wet malt grains and fruity ale esters. Average carbonation and slightly thin texture. Initial flavor of caramel and nutty malts, but is quickly overpowered by band aid phenols- which ruin this beer for me.
