The hops give a light bitter note and the malt a toasted nut flavor. I nice smooth finish. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2007 On tap at the brewery, the color is dark amber with a beige head. The taste is of malt with a sour bitter effect. The aroma is also of malt but with a sweeter caramel smell. There is noting special in this beer just your typical brown ale. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville, TN. Pours a beautiful deep copper amber with a nicely retentive off white head. Aroma of wet malt grains and fruity ale esters. Average carbonation and slightly thin texture. Initial flavor of caramel and nutty malts, but is quickly overpowered by band aid phenols- which ruin this beer for me.
