Commercial Description:
A good, clean nutbrown ale with a malty body. This is our most popular ale due to its smooth and malty flavor. We use a mixture of pale, crystal and black malts in this one, and our primary hop is Target, though we also add some Whitbread Goldings Variation as well. The Real Ale is best fresh, so fresh in fact, that it's great right out of the bright tank.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle at Summit Wayside Tavern, Atlanta, Ga. Has an off-white head and a dark copper appearance. Has a slight candy-like sweet aroma. Decently thick mouthfeel. Flavor has some good malty notes - nothing really jumps out about it though - just a good smooth drinking ale - would be good for session purposes. Verging on the edge of blandness.

12oz. bottle. Clear light brown color with a small tan head. Mild aroma of toasted malt. Nutty, malty flavor with a hint of caramel. Rather bland.

Real Ale? Don’t insult the category by naming your boring bland brew this. Brown with no head. Smells and tastes of nuts and coffee. Watery finish.

Pours brownish red with medium tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, almonds, some hopcit. Some caramel malt, brown sugar, and nuts in the taste and finish. Medium to light palate, with a decent smoothness, but could use more balance and complexity.

Cask conditioned at the brewery. Clear brown color with a ring of offwhite lace. Aroma and flavor of nuts, malt and brown sugar. Light body, prickly carbonation.

Amber in color with a thin white head. Citrusy, nutty aroma that comes through in the flavor. Mildly malty, nutty flavor and finish with some good hops in the beginning. A lot of decent stuff, just something wasn’t quite right.

Pours a light clear bubbly amber color with a small amount of offwhite head. Aroma is slightly sweet and nutty, but also a bit metallicy. Flavor is very nutty and sweet with a slightly dry nut finish. Palate is a little light and watery, but overall, not bad.

(Bottle) Pours a medium reddish brown, has a light tan head which fades rather quickly, but nice lacing. Nutty sweet aroma. Nice nutty taste, nice smooth mouthfeel, maybe a little thin. Really pleasant to drink, not much to complain about.
