Golden-amber-yellow with a white head that recedes to ring. Rather filtered and very clear. Smells of wheat, hay-like hoppiness, some floral notes. Orange-tea with honey. Flavor is warm biscuits and honey, fairly gritty/chewy wheatiness. Bready/doughy as well with a fairly strong yeastiness on the end. Dry, slight astringency in the middle with only a touch of caramel. Moderate carbonation, large bubbles. Light, farmy hops add a touch of bitterness on the end. Cornbread and milkiness from the malted wheat. Medium-light body. porterhouse (1161), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2006 Draft @ brewery. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that recedes to a thin layer. Aroma yeasty, bready, a little citrusy. Mouthfeel light, slightly dry, lightly tingly. Tastes of fresh bread and slight lemony citrus. Finishes with just a touch of bitterness and pretty crisp. A little weak but not bad particularly when it’s very fresh like this. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2009 On Tap at Anthony’s in Bar Habor. Sweet pale malt. Not much hops. This is too sweet to be a refreshing summer ale. There is no crispness that is advertised, but that could be due to how late in the season it is and the age of the keg. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Draught at the brewery. Pours gold with white head. Aroma is a bit of clean biscuit malt, with a hint of floral hops - fairly restrained. Taste is very light, crisp, a bit biscuity, with a hint of floral hops on the quite dry finish. Extremely drinkable at the expense of bold flavor, but nonetheless a decent effort. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2007 A basic light wheat beer that is good for summer sipping! I light note of citrus on the nose with a light crispness. The beer finishes with some tame yeast notes. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Smells of light wheat and hay. It has a basic unfiltered sort of wheat flavor to it. Nothing special really going on here. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Pours gold with a thin white head. When I asked the server what this beer tastes like prior to serving, he told me it was somewhat similar to Gumballhead. A very bold statement if way off. Smelled of grapefruit. Tasted of wheat and hops. Not their best offering. Maybe after they’ve tweaked the recipe a bit. jimhilt (1688), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Pours a three finger white head that quickly goes to a ring leaving some lace. Clear orange/amber color. Faint malt nose. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Flavor is light sweet citrus, a little watery. I’m ready for some beers with a backbone. $2.00 for a 12 oz bottle from Tullys Beer & Wine Wells, Me.
