Bottle from ASDA. Very dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of coffee with some fruit. Flavour was slightly sweet with plenty of roasted malt and a bitter finish. Not bad.

Deepest brown hue is topped by a small off-white film. Interesting fruity (blackberries, blueberries) nose melted in roasted grains and toasted bread. Wooden branches and plums add to the complexity from the aroma, but this is not kept on in the surprisingly dull mouth presence where little hops are felt at all and the malts appear bland and stale, captured by the exaggerated carbonation.

Bottled@GBBF2007. Very dark rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is malty, caramelly, hoppy and some fudgeish hints. Flavour is malts, slight roastiness, hops and bitterness. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Nice brew.

Bottle, GBBF 07. Dark ruby, thin tan head. Nose is malty toffee, espresso, coffee and caramel. Mouth is very roasted malt, some bitterness. Finishes sweet, slightly bitter. Quite good and full.

Bottle, 330ml. A dark black colour with a small head. Aroma is unusual: very sweet, almost bread-like. Taste is malt, chocolate and liquorice. A slightly bitter finish with a touch of hop and citrus. Very light carbonation. Not bad at all.
