Nose is heavy of roasted malts, coffee, and a little cocoa. Creamy mouthful is dominated by the roast with a little coffee and light bitters. Rather enjoyable, yet not real dazzling. Still, nice brew. Thanks to mcox90. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Pours a dark ruby brown with a one and a half finger creamy tan head. The nose is nutty, sweet, toffee, light and toasty. The flavor is crisp and nutty, really thin and finishes easy. I mean gone. Doesn’t taste bad, but it totally feels like the bottom falls out of it. The alcohol shows, needs more body for sure. SudsMcDuff (1711), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
