Oct 3, 2006 A dark red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with a weird coffee note - is it some expresso roast with vanilla in it? The flavor is sweet and very roasted malty, and with quite strong notes of expresso as well as some notes of vanilla.

Oct 6, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a light brown head. Coffee, hard roasted malt and a minor liqourice edge. Thin bodied. Roasted malt flavour, a bit sharp. Has some bitterness into the finish.

Jun 28, 2008 Dark brown colour. Chocolatey, nutty aroma with fudgey accents. Rich, chocolate taste. Decent body. Lots of nuts, toast, chocolate. Good balance. Very sessionable.

Feb 5, 2008 Black with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and coffee. The flavour has a light bitterness, notes of roasted malt. coffee and licorice and it ends slightly dry. It’s uncomplicated and easy to drink - thank you Linus_stick!
