Dark brown with fluffy white head. Weak roasted malty aroma. Caramel maltiness with a twinge of metal in the front, and a light smoky aftertaste. Nice medium body. Overall very enjoyable (and props to the guys at the brewery, who are great).

Pours a one finger cream head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Almost clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet caramel nose. Flavor is sweet malts with some middle hops and caramel, clean finish. $5.49 for a 22oz bottle from Tully’s Beer and Wine Wells, ME.

Bouteille de 22 oz, procuré à la brasserie (leur boutique). Rousse rubie, petit collet. Arome peut intéressant de malte végétal, note sucré. Goût de malte fruté, un peu sûrette, quelque notes de mélasses peu sucré. Bref, rien d’extraodinaire!

22 oz bottle. Pours a red gold color with a small white head. The alcohol is well hidden. This one has a bit of a sweet taste, especially as it warmed. Tastes a bit like good chocolate covered cherries. This was a nice smooth ale and I really enjoyed it.

Bottle sampled on 9/20/06: Pours a clear bright copper with a thin ring of wispy white head. Sweet, toasty, bready malty aroma has a good balance of piny hops. Body starts sweet and toasty with good caramel malty presence and a nice, bitter balance. A smooth and enjoyable old ale.

Bottle 22oz. Raisin malt and alcohol aroma. Dark reddish-amber color with moderate head. Initially a raisin/dried cherry/caramel malt flavor with a light hops and strong alcohol finish. Malty aftertaste. Wish I had a decent cellar to age this one a bit more.
