| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 6, 2007 Pours a clear brown color with a ring of offwhite lace. Unpleasant aroma and flavor of boiled veggies, beans and caramel. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Not good. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 23, 2007 Mostly pretty ordinary stuff, but well made and drinkable. I’ve had a run of Oktoberfests, and this seems almost fest=y. Sweet amber malts, floral hops, a little spice, a nutty finish, not much bitterness. Boring, not bad, and not an old ale, I think. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2006 22 oz bottle. Pours a mostly clear medium amber with a thin off white head and some light lace. Aroma is thickly sweet and lt sof dark caramel, toasted malts, lightly nutty and hitns of chocolate. Nice malt flavor- with lots of toast and chocolate- doughy with a sharp crystal malt tone, slight clove spice, and slightly slick in the aftertaste. Pretty good overall, but different from most old ales Ive had. Glouglouburp (2865), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 29, 2006 Clear dark-copper body with no head. Aroma of beans and other vegetables. Malty body with more vegetables and some wet socks. Despite my description, actually more boring than bad. Can’t spell Old Ale, can’t brew Old Ale. GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2006 22 oz. bottle. Beautiful read color with an off white head. Malty with a warm finish with a bit of hops in the finish. No discernable aroma. Slightly sticky malty mouthfeel. This beer is good, but not outstanding, I like it, it’s probably be good with a red meat. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Tasting at goldtwins 9/20/06 - Aroma of stale hops, carmel malt and spring water. Pours orange-brown with a medium head and good lacing. Flavor is a thinner version of aroma, Palate is thin and tart. Interesting brew but boring. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Poured a clear dark amber color. Thick sweet caramel malty aroma. Brown sugar and caramel malt. Sweet has a decent taste but nothing special going on. Just sweet malt. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 20, 2006 Off-white foamy head covers the clearish brown hue. Beany dark malts offer syrupy leanings. DMS overshadows pretty much any flavour with its strong vegetal contrefort. Quite sparkling carbonation, light bodied. Unnoticeable hop character and just sweet, vanilla and candied raspberries base. One to skip.
