Bottle from ASDA. Cloudy golden colour with a lively, yet short-lived, white head. Aroma of ginger, yeast and oranges. Flavour had ginger and other spices, a herbal touch and a short dry finish. Ok, but a bit subdued for this type of beer.

Cask Handpump at the Bhurtpore Inn, Aston 12/07/2007 Fruity and slightly sour aroma. Golden coloured fruity sweet on the palate and wheaty. Crisp and slightly dry finish.

Bottle, 330ml. A cloudy golden colour with a large fizzy head. Aroma is strong with yeast, hops, banana and caramel. Taste is disappointing: a little hoppy, some yeast, banana and ginger. Fairly sweet and highly carbonated. A little watery in the finish. With half the carbonation, this might be a decent brew.

330ml bottle from a Torquay supermarket. A pale amber beer, light and thirst-quenching. Very yeasty, giving character to the beer. Prickly carbonation. Good ginger and spice notes lift this above an average lager type beer.

Bottled. A golden coloured beer with a thin scum of beige head. The aroma has a large amount of ginger as well as cleaning products. The ginger in the taste is too harsh, and I like ginger in a beer. Unbalanced.

Bottle (from Bitter Virtuem, BBJun 07). Gold Easily the best of the Atlantic beers with masses of spicy ginger in the nose and mouth, Idris eat your heart out. Theres not really a whole lot else going on here, other than a little fruit and hop, but the ginger is strong enough to carry it,.

Nose is lemon and kiwifruit, and of course ginger. Pours a slightly cloudy gold. Flavour is fresh and full of ginger - loads of it. This is good for me, as I like ginger, and so this is one of the few herbals I can appreciate.
