Aroma is roasty, caramel, earthy, and black in appearance. A minimal head, tan foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter.medium body, Palate is creamy, average carbonation, slighlty bitter finish. Liked the smokiness. Don’t taste the heather, but I wouldn’t know it if I did.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a medium sized head and an aroma of malt and chocolate. The flavor includes dark roast caramel malt, some of that chocolate, and some dark fruit along with a touch of bitterness. It’s sweet but not too sweet. Smooth and full bodied, it’s a nice quaff.

Pours almost black with a medium head. Smoky, hoppy, floral aroma is pretty inviting. A pleasant flavor of smoke and cocoa is what I notice at first with a lingering sweetness on the palate. A really good beer for the price.

POurs dark brown with notes of cocoa and smoked meats. The palate shows a very light bitterness that seems to round out these flavors. The finish is relatively long.

Pours dark with little head that fades quickly. Aroma of smoke and chocolate. Roasted bitterness, smoky, and chocolaty flavors. Great all around, very pleasant drinking.

On tap at the brewery. The color is dark brown with a thick beige head. The taste is rich of malt, with also a sweet taste of molasse that is not overpowering it is well balanced. There is just the right amount of bitterness to make it a very good Scotch ale.

Bouteille de 22 oz de LadySusan (5 oz). Brune cola, mince collet. Arome de malte caramelisé doux, un peu d’alcool. Goût lég de caramel malté avec un peu de mélasse, pas trop amère. Bonne mais elle manque de quoi!
