Derek881 (486), Frederick, Maryland, USA May 31, 2007 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, a cloudy dark gold-honey color with a very small, bubbly white head that was gone quickly. The aroma was of strong wheat, with some yeast, and a noticeable ginger background. There also seemed to be some nutmeg or cinnamon, and caramel malt. The taste was sweet and fruity, even a bit spicey, with a bitter finish. It was wet and lightly fizzy with a drier alcohol finish and a spicey end. A decent beer that managed to hold all of its spice and flavoring fairly well. tarsparky (12), Flint, Michigan, USA May 25, 2007 Pours golden, and hazy. Aromas of ginger, certainly, and, strangely, of soap. Unfortuantely, it also tasted a bit soapy to me, as well, so, I wasn’t really a fan of this. Drinkable, but, couldn’t really get past the soapy taste to it. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA May 21, 2007 How weird that this would be my very next rating after Orange Blossom Cream Ale. Nose of ginger & sawdust. Interestingly enough, smells like ginger ale! Pours a sparkling clover honey. The frothy off-white head is mostly diminishing with no lace. The brew is very crisp & interesting with moderate acidity, and a spicy finish. The light body is creamy & lively. The finish feels crisp. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 11, 2007 Rated 1/24/06: Pours a rich gold color with little head that soon turns into no head. Mild if not poor carbonation to this one. The aroma was slightly sweet and definately malty. The first couple of drinks hinted at a touch of ginger, but as this beer sat a while and warmed up a bit the ginger really came through. Toward the end not a single bubble of carbonation could be found and the ginger was overpowering. I think this would still be a weak wheat beer even if the ginger was removed from the recipe. Each sip reminded me more and more of asian stir fry and less and less of beer. jimhilt (1662), Bow, New Hampshire, USA May 9, 2007 Disappointed with this, I was expecting a ginger nose - there was none and a ginger flavor also none. Slight crispness but it was more like an ordinary lager. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 8, 2007 Pours a light-hazed amber with dusty particulate and faint carbonation beneath a fleeting head. Ginger certainly takes over the aroma which otherwise shows a roasty nuttiness. Spicy flavor (with the additional perception of anise), a mild tingle and a dry sourness. An acquired taste for those inclined to powerful spicing.

JPDIPSO (4862), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 30, 2007 Amber color with a a smaller white popcorn colored head. Fairly tame in aroma, with ginger being the most dominate. Some hints of wheat and cookie dough at well. Fuller flavors, with caramel and malt in the front and carrying through to the finish. Ginger and generic spice come in mid swizzle. A sharp spice, even alcohol seems to come in right at the start of the finish and dries the linger out. Left with a dry ginger residue. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Apr 27, 2007 12 oz bottle-poured a light golden color w/a slight white head. Liight crisp floral hop aroma. Crisp, clean, light, slightly spiced flavor. Light wheat w/a hint of ginger. Somewhat sweet. Not a whole lot here. Inofennsive, but nothing special.
Had a spiced/ginger finish.
