BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 10, 2008 This was actually pretty good stuff, but you have to really like ginger, because this tastes like the real thing, which was pleasing on the palate. Grainy cereal maltiness, wheaty and citrusy, with great flavors of ginger throughout. Nicely done. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Hazydeep brassy gold, thick dense white finger-thick cap. Aroma of grainy cereal and fresh ginger. Flavour is wheaty with natural ginger flavour in good balance, and a nice lemon oil accent. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 17, 2008 12oz bottle. Aroma of spicey ginger and sweet. Dark golden body with thin head that went flat quickly. Chalky sweet spice flavor with some malty sweetener in the mix. Spicey cough syrup aftertaste left on palate. Need a glass of water. TaktikMTL (2745), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Jul 15, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1783) afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 2, 2008 12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pour looks like pond water, golden-brown with some foamy scum floating on top. I’m not so sure that what I taste is ginger, it reminds me of meat. I don’t know what else to say about this stuff except "stay away". heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 16, 2008 Hazy dark gold with a bright, light khaki head. The aroma is rich peaches and ginger. There is also a yeasty note. The taste has some nasty notes of old ginger that has sat on the counter. There is also a little bit of nasty cheap sponge cake, like the outside of a Twinkie, but without the filling. Pretty nasty. zamco17 (134), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA May 13, 2008 Hmmm this is different stuff, you can really taste the ginger. I’m not sure if I want that flavor in my beer, definitely unique. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA May 11, 2008 It pours an opaque orange-amber with a fairly thick off-whitehead. Aroma is rich and malty with a strong undertone of orange. Flavor is crisp and malty, somewhat citrus fruity, with just a whisper of hops. It goes down smoothly and is very refreshing and delightful.
