mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Sep 3, 2007 poured a very thin amber color with no head at all and no lacings. it smelled very sweet but not really any ginger at all. it had a taste of ginger but not much at all and was too light on the palate for me. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 09/25/1995

LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 31, 2007 This is a decent beer considering the style. I love wheat beer and ginger so this was a good mix. Aroma was decent..a little ginger but not much with some wheat in there. Pour was a nice dark gold with a one finger white head. Taste was gingery and spicey...wheat is an aftertaste and very weak. This is a novelty beer that is good when you’re in the mood but nothing to be taken seriously. swanmann (304), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Aug 26, 2007 The bottle poured cloudy copper color w/ dissipating thin head. Aroma of yeast and sweet maltiness with citrus notes or oranges or lemons. I don’t really get ginger except for a slight burn from the initial sip. Very crisp with mellow lingering ginger sensation in the chest. Almot anisthetic. A little more syrupy as it warms. Sweetness really comes out but lacks complexity. A bit thin and aggressively carbonated. Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2007 The aroma is only mildly ginger accented. The main aroma is detergent and wheat accented fruits. The body is a murky golden color and holds a limp pinky sized white head. The fore is, again, mildly ginger accented though the flavor grows in intensity It’s a bit wheaty/grainy and rustic, but in the way a Weyerbacher I just had is.....simple rustic rather than complex and rustically made.

On the whole it is still a fairly drinkable beer and probably one of my favorite from this brewer. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 15, 2007 12oz, no date. Cloudy brown golden with a lot of floaties and a short-lived white head. Go figure ginger is the first aroma. It actually smells a lot like
Honey Sun Iqhilika (Mead) - Chili without the chili, of course. There is also some earth and lemon tang. Flavor has some earthy bitterness (2-3 out of 10), ginger, and a crisp wheaty finish, semidry. Moderate carbonation, medium body. Not too bad of a ginger, though not as good as Hitachino Nest’s. MrBunn (1520), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2007 Bottle. Amber color with quite a bit of carbonation, a little bit of haze and a quickly fleeting head. Aromas are fairly beer-like, and maybe I can smell some ginger (although it might just be that I’m trying too hard.) As it has sat for a minute the ginger picks up and becomes more detectable. Flavor starts off fairly nice and then goes horrendously wrong, but it’s in those first fractions of a second that I find myself thinking this is nice... caramel malt body, a little bit of a hops presence. Then I get hit by a sweet and medicinal flavor that ruins it for me. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2007 12oz bottle...variety case from Brewer’s Outlet...pours a cloudy orange (I made sure to get the sediment off the bottom), quickly dissipating off-white head...scents of floral and orange...taste of fruit (apricot?), spice, subtle ginger, and yeast...pretty easy drinking on a warm day...just OK.
