Oct 18, 2006 (12oz bottle) Small off white head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, ginger, peach, some cereal. Taste is medium sweet, ginger, some cereal, light herbal bitterness. Light body, some crispness.

Apr 12, 2005 Poured a medium, cloudy golden color with a smaller white head. Aromas of ginger and almost a sweet honey aroma. Sweet tasting with a spicy bite to it. Thin and weaker body.

Aug 16, 2005 I was told that this one was being locally used to barbeque steak with. That sounds like something this one could potentially be applied to. On tap at the brewery. Poured dark gold with almost no head to speak of. Smelled strongly of ginger and wheat. Taste was strange with some clove notes that numbed my tongue a bit along with ginger holding up strong on the finish.

-There is decent foam retention to cover the transparent tan golden.
-Humble cereal sweetness topples ginger in the nose.
-Gingery fruitiness collaborates with the caramel/cereal sweetness.
-The well-constructed body remains quaffable due to the lively carbonation.
What if you dig deeper?
-A furtive citrusy hop bite dries off the ending.
-Wheat plays an important role here, and keeps the beer far from the gimmick zone.
-A decent meal accompaniment, or estival quencher, this ginger beer won’t wow most but will surely please those looking for novelty.

Aug 18, 2006 Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow and orange color. Fresh, peppery ginger-ale nose, sweet smelling. Up front it’s mildly peppery, but has a basic wheat/golden ale malt sweetness, with the ginger fairly light, which is nice, actually.

Aug 6, 2006 Perhaps if the base beer had more character I would appreciate the brew more. As it is, pretty much all I’m getting from the nose and taste is a whole lot of ginger and little else. Other than that, the hazy light amber body and short lived head make it appear much like most other American wheat ales. Thank goodness for beer stores with single bottle purchases available. <font size=-4><a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? Stop, Highland, IN<font size=-1>
