Amber color with quite a bit of carbonation, a little bit of haze and a quickly fleeting head. Aromas are fairly beer-like, and maybe I can smell some ginger (although it might just be that I’m trying too hard.) As it has sat for a minute the ginger picks up and becomes more detectable. Flavor starts off fairly nice and then goes horrendously wrong, but it’s in those first fractions of a second that I find myself thinking this is nice... caramel malt body, a little bit of a hops presence. Then I get hit by a sweet and medicinal flavor that ruins it for me. Quevillon (1532), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Arome de gingembre très présant, peu de malte. Goût de gingembre amère, peu malté. Passable! Swalden28 (1512), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear light gold with minimal white head with light retention. Aroma was nice, like ginger ale. Flavor was of dominating ginger with very, very light sweetness with dry finish. Palate was light mouth feel, medium carbonation. Odd that this is a wheat beer as well......Im sure some out there would be a fan of this, but I need sweetness with ginger... shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2009 On tap at the brewery. A standard American wheat ale with the surprisingly refreshing taste of ginger root added. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this beer. I could definitely drink a couple pints. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 31, 2009 Dark Golden color with a nice white head that lingers and is slightly cloudy. It like the ginger smell. Spice ginger taste is prevalent but creates an earthy mouth feel that is slight unpleasant.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Hazy and golden without much of a head. Just a tad bit of white film on top. Interesting hint of honey in the aroma sits on top of a slightly citrusy ginger aroma. There’s a bit of a lime and ginger taste in this one with a bready finish. Dry finish and lively carbonation round this one out. Not bad at all! ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
