Commercial Description:
A refreshing wheat beer spiced with fresh ginger root. The process of making this wheat beer has been nicknamed "special ginger tea", due to the fact that we add over 20 lbs. of fresh ground ginger root into the boil. We use pale malt, and wheat, as well as Target and Whitbread Goldings Variation hops to flavor this light, summer ale. Island Ginger is particularly popular during the warmer summer months, though thanks to the ginger kick it has, it would also be warming in the cold winter months.

12 oz bottle-poured a light golden color w/a slight white head. Liight crisp floral hop aroma. Crisp, clean, light, slightly spiced flavor. Light wheat w/a hint of ginger. Somewhat sweet. Not a whole lot here. Inofennsive, but nothing special. Had a spiced/ginger finish.

POurs a medium amber. The notes of citrus show up in the aroma. The palate gives you some hop notes but this is where the ginger comes out and gives a nice light bite.

This is a dark gold beer with a small head and an average mouth feel. The flavor is mellow with a little hoppy bitterness and ginger bite, and some sweet spice in the aftertaste. This could be bolder and more fun - it is primarily a mild wheat beer with unusual touches.

Drinkable, I guess, but definitely not my cup of tea. I must not be a big fan of ginger. (I was always more of a Maryanne kind of guy...ha-ha! - I crack myself up).

Pours a hazy orange gold. Smells of sweet, spicy ginger. It has a nice plain wheat flavor that is followed by a slight ginger aftertaste.

Has a clouded orangish color with a good bit of carbonation and a ginger smell. Taste is gingery, but finishes with little taste. Overall ginger is not my thing unless it is a cookie, but the flavor of this beer ends rather abruptly leaving it a little empty.

12 oz. bottle courtesy/shared with Naka. Pours golden amber with fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is big on ginger with a sweet touch of caramel. Tastes of sweet toffee and bread wit ha good dose of ginger. Crisp hop finish with lingering hop and toffee after. Decent and drinkable.
